Matthew Pickett Named Resort Manager for Kauai Beach Resort
Lihue, Kauai, HI - Deceber 7, 2010 - Robin Graf, General Manager of Kauai Beach Resort recently named Matthew Pickett, Resort Manager for the deluxe 350-room property.
“Matt is very qualified to fill this important role and I'm glad we have him on the team,” said Graf. “His 16 years of experience in Hawaii's hospitality industry, including Five Diamond service, and a great record of improving revenue maximization and operational efficiency will really complement our focus on guest service and enhanced food and beverage agenda.
As resort manager, Pickett oversees all aspects of hotel operations with a focus on food and beverage and assumes all resort responsibilities in the absence of the general manager.
Some of the new initiatives include launching Naupaka Terrace's Sunday Brunch; enhanced beverage programs including new wine lists, Art and Wine events and creative cocktail menus; and poolside entertainment.
Pickett comes to Kauai Beach Resort after five years with Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotels and was most recently Restaurant Manager at Orchids. He also held management positions at Hawaii Convention Center, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and Grand Wailea.
Pickett has a B.S; Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration, from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
