New York, NY - January 24, 2011 - Deemed Grand Dame of Madison Avenue and standing stately since 1924, The Roosevelt Hotel, NYC is thrilled to announce the start of a multi-million dollar upgrade and redesign program. The hotel's 1,015 guestrooms and suites will be completely refreshed with new carpeting, furniture, fixtures and decor. Conveniently located in the heart of Midtown, the legendary hotel is dedicated to offering guests only the highest of quality in service, amenities and accommodations.

Maintaining its legendary heritage while providing the finest contemporary amenities, the hotel's spacious suites and guest rooms will be equipped with all new furniture, fixtures, guestroom and corridor carpeting, as well as new artwork in each room that will capture historic images of The Roosevelt Hotel. Each room will also be refreshed with an accent wall, creating a comforting, home-like ambience. The multi-million dollar upgrade is scheduled to begin in stages starting in early February and will be fully completed by February, 2012. As stated by John Trovato, General Manager of the hotel, “This renovation is the icing on the cake for the hotel, as it follows numerous improvements over the recent years including Vander Bar -- the hotel's newest watering hole which opened in 2010, mad46 Rooftop Lounge -- which will be going into its fourth season, the new flat screen TVs in all rooms, wifi and the new guest beds.” The enhancements are designed to also compliment the already meticulously restored interiors of the hotel, featuring signature architecture of the 1920s, particularly showcased in the grand lobby.
