Shuvendu Banerjee as GoSM and Avinash Kumar Verma as Director of HR and Talent Development
March 11, 2011 - Gearing up for its launch in the second quarter this year, Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini has announced the appointment of Shuvendu Banerjee as the Director of Sales and Marketing, and Avinash Kumar Verma as the Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, for this first upscale hotel of North West Delhi.

As an active member of the pre-opening team, Shuvendu Banerjee is credited with bringing high double-digit growth in all market segments and a whopping 100% growth in preferred accounts for the hotel. With experience of over a decade in corporate sales, travel Industry & MICE, Shuvendu has been employed with reputed brands including Radisson, WelcomGroup and Jaypee Hotels. Apart from his academic credentials, he is a Certified Crowne Meetings Director from E-Cornell University. As the Director of Sales and Marketing at Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini, Shuvendu will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of promotional strategies and sales and marketing plans, including advertising, publicity, community relations and special sales projects amongst others.
As the Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, Avinash Kumar Verma will be the custodian of IHG HR framework at Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini, and will help establish the organization structure, HR policies and procedures, recruitment, induction orientation procedures and training, performance appraisal system, and transfer/promotion processes. He has led the HR function at several leading brands in India and abroad, including Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Select Citywalk, Ramada Plaza, InterContinental The Grand Mumbai, Parkroyal, and Radisson.
