Glenwood Springs, CO - April 12, 2011 - Glenwood Canyon Resort is already known for its prime Colorado River camping sites, whitewater rafting trips and thrilling zipline adventures; now with the opening of the No Name Bar & Grill, the resort has yet another attraction to offer its guests. Spacious outdoor decks, inviting indoor spaces, delicious food and canyon views are highlights at the new eatery.
Under construction since the fall of 2010, the No Name Bar & Grill, and the entire Canyon Club Event Center, is now ready to host and serve its first patrons. “We want the No Name Bar & Grill to be a place for our guests to meet, relax, eat, drink and enjoy themselves in a magnificent natural setting,” said Glenwood Canyon Resort Owner, Kevin Schneider.
With a 5,000 square foot deck that overlooks the Colorado River, the No Name Bar & Grill is an inviting place to hang out with friends or relax after a rafting trip, ziplining adventure or other area activity. The deck is covered with large wing-like canvas panels that provide shade, shelter and an ideal locale to watch the “live” action of rafting and ziplining below. Indoors, with floor-to-ceiling windows, guests can still ogle the same great views year-round, or they can watch sports on big screen televisions. During the summer season, the resort is planning to host family-friendly weekend entertainment. “In addition to serving up delicious food, we're looking forward to entertaining our resort guests with a variety of special events on the deck,” said Schneider.
The No Name Bar & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy grilled specialties, wraps, appetizers, salads and more. For a quick bite on the run, visit the “Sweet Retreats” take-out service located on the deck for pizza, soft serve ice cream, healthy juice bar drinks and other flavorful snacks and concoctions. Also, located on the deck, a full bar serves up favorite beverages including cocktails and a variety of beers.
Because of its spacious indoor and outdoor venues in one of Colorado's most magnificent settings, the No Name Bar & Grill is perfect for group gatherings including weddings, family reunions and corporate retreats.
The No Name Bar & Grill occupies the main floor of the Canyon Club Event Center. On the upper-most level of the new building are two luxury suites, one with 3-bedrooms, the other with 2-bedrooms, and both with terraces that offer the same spectacular canyon, river and zipline views. The interiors feature high-end comforts like premium bedding and top quality stone finishes and woodwork. These suites are perfect for honeymooners and romantic weekend escapes. The new building also allows a space for employee housing on the lower level. Overall, the building is approximately 8,000 square feet.
