Renaissance Newark Airport Completes Multi-million Dollar Renovation

Elizabeth, NJ - June 9, 2011 - General Manager Jeff Plamondon today unveiled the newly transformed Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel, capping off a multi-million dollar renovation project which took several months to complete.

According to Mr. Plamondon, the renovation was both structural and cosmetic and included working with sound engineers to replace every window in the hotel to make it sound-resistant; installing a four-pipe system to enable guests to use heating or air conditioning no matter what time of year; and reconfiguring the guest room footprints to add two additional feet to each room.

Additionally the property was completely transformed from a design perspective to create an environment that represents the distinctive and stylish ambiance of the Renaissance brand. The guest rooms, lobby, restaurants and lounges, meeting space, fitness center, swimming pool, and Club Lounge with sweeping views of the New York City skyline and Newark Airport were all entirely redone in a bid to provide travelers to New York City and the New Jersey area with a sophisticated and urban hotel experience.
