Bertollini Promoted to GM at Marriott Chicago Midway
June 27, 2011 - A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in hospitality business, Bertollini's most recent position was the Director of Operations at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville, Indiana.
Having more than 10 years of hospitality industry experience, Erin Bertollini was recently promoted to the position of General Manager of the Marriott at Chicago's Midway Airport. In announcing the promotion, John Randall, Regional Vice President for White Lodging said, "Erin has worked for White Lodging for the past five and a half years, and I have every confidence in Erin's ability to take on this new role."
A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in hospitality business, Bertollini's most recent position was the Director of Operations at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville, Indiana. Prior to assuming the Director of Operations role he was the hotel's Director of Food and Beverage. In this position, he created, planned and executed the property's popular New Year's Eve party, which had more than 3,000 in attendance and created top line revenue.
Bertollini got his start in the industry while he was still in college, taking on the Assistant Front Office Manager duties at the Hilton in Troy, Michigan. In his seven years at this property, Bertollini was promoted six times and was responsible for a wide range of management duties in the 191-room boutique hotel. In 2003, he was named Hilton/Detroit Manager of the Year.
From the Hilton, Bertollini moved to the White Lodging's Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac at Centerpoint. Holding the position of Director of Food and Beverage for two and a half years, his solid work effort was recognized when he received the White Lodging Food and Beverage Special Recognition Award.
