Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Welcomes New Senior DoSM
Focus is to Grow Jacksonville as Meeting Destination
Jacksonville, FL - August 9, 2011 - Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront recently welcomed Pat Trammell as its new Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. Trammell brings with her more than 25 years of experience in the hotel and meetings industries. She will lead the hotel's sales team in promoting downtown Jacksonville while joining industry leaders and community partners to attract citywide conventions.
“Pat is an industry leader and we are fortunate to have her on our team,” said Dan King, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront's general manager. “She has quickly acclimated herself with our market. Considering her extensive experience, combined with her national and international network, I am confident that she will quickly influence our city's downtown economic impact.”
Most recently, Trammell served as Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Atlanta, one of the largest convention hotels in the southeast and Hyatt's flagship Regency property. There she oversaw the property's sales and marketing operations as well as led the “Big Six Hotels” Sales Leadership Committee. She effectively collaborated with Atlanta convention hotels and the Convention and Visitors Bureau to attract groups to downtown Atlanta.
“I have a passion for growing the awareness of a destination and matching the needs of the customer with the offerings of both the property I am working for and the community in which I live,” said Trammell. “Jacksonville, and the entire region, has an incredible array of assets that make it unique, while providing tremendous value for convention planners and attendees alike. It truly offers the best of all worlds and I am excited to be here.”
Prior to Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Trammell served in the same role at Hyatt properties in Detroit (Dearborn), Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Greenville, South Carolina. Before joining the Hyatt family, she worked in corporate communications, public relations and meeting planning. A graduate of Michigan State University, Trammell and her husband Jim have relocated to the Jacksonville area.
