Marriott Names Neal Jones VP Global Sales Intermediaries and Europe
LONDON - September 15, 2011 - Marriott International has announced the promotion of Neal Jones to Vice President Global Sales-Intermediaries and Europe. Jones' new responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to global intermediary segments such as travel management companies, travel agencies, group intermediaries, wholesalers, group tour operators and consortia. He will continue to provide strategic oversight to Marriott's global sales operations located throughout Europe.

Jones began his Marriott career in 1995 as senior account manager where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts on behalf of the Marriott-branded hotels located throughout the UK. From there he moved on to director of sales and marketing positions at Marriott's Hanbury Manor Hotel & Country Club and the new JW Marriott Hotel Cairo, Egypt before becoming market director - London Sales. In July 2008, he was promoted to vice president of Global Sales for Europe, responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Global Sales Offices located in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Zurich and Milan, as well as a network of over 40 General Sales Agents (GSAs).
Jones graduated from the Hotel School The Hague located in The Netherlands and is based in London.
