Kamin Takes Event Role at Vacation.com
FEBRUARY 13, 2007. Vacation.com has recently appointed Jamie Kamin, CMP, as Manager, Education and Event Planning.
In this role, Kamin will be integrally involved in the planning and organization of all Vacation.com member training programs from regional preferred supplier workshops to the Vacation.com 9th International Conference & Trade Show in New Orleans, June 27 - July 1, 2007.
"Jamie is an enthusiastic individual with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in planning educational events," said Lauraday Kelley, CTC, MCC, vice president, Education & Training for Vacation.com. "I am confident that her skills and passion for the field will help carry our department to the next level," she added.
Prior to joining Vacation.com, Kamin spent nine years employed on Capitol Hill as a Conference and Travel Coordinator at the Association of State and Interstate Water Pollution Control Administrators (ASIWPCA) where she was continuously involved in travel issues related to meeting planning.
In her role at ASIWPCA, Kamin planned all of the association's meetings and conferences.
This experience will serve Kamin well in her position organizing Vacation.com training programs. Kamin has a Master's Degree in International Training and Education from American University and dual degrees in Natural Resource Policy from The University of Michigan and Northland College in Ashland, WI.
