Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta Announces Renovations to Grand Ballroom
June 28, 2012 - The Grand Ballroom at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta has been a premier destination for picture-perfect weddings, galas and events for the past 15 years. This fall, the Five-Star, Five-Diamond property will unveil a completely renovated Grand Ballroom on the Hotel's fourth floor.
The USD 1.2 million project designed by Los Angeles firm Forchielli Glynn will highlight the glamour and elegance of the 5,100 square foot (475 square metre) Ballroom with added details and decor that will complement any event design or theme for up to 330 people.
“The new Ballroom will feel timeless, yet modern,” shares General Manager Dan Normandin. “We want to remain the city's premier social hub and believe this renovation will dazzle our guests and mark the beginning of a new era for Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta.”
The completed Ballroom will boast windows adorned with dramatic columns of drapery in a silky luxurious fabric and embroidered design, creating a modern, graphic-striped effect. Crystal wall sconces will sparkle on panels of silver leaf. Hand-applied gilded moldings will trace the contours of the gleaming ceiling and illuminate the room's stunning chandeliers.
The leafy design of the new custom-designed wool carpet has truly grand scale. Within the design of the carpet, modernized organic forms meander from one end to the other in rich tones of gold, plum, and silver-blue. New LED lighting in the ceiling coves will enhance the overall lighting levels and will brighten or dim to create special ambient effects on demand.
CONTINUES BELOW “There is a uniqueness of this ballroom venue among other Atlanta ballrooms in the level of grand opulence and elegance,” says Director of Catering Charles Kaval. “This Ballroom renovation will simply be an addition to the everlasting memories people create when they attend one of our events.”
