Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Appoints Mark Bertolacini as Director of Food & Beverage

RIVERSIDE, CA - September 28, 2012 - The historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has appointed Mark Bertolacini as director of food & beverage at the AAA Four Diamond hotel, which features four restaurants - Duane's Prime Steaks and Seafood that is Inland Southern California's only AAA Four Diamond restaurant, Las Campanas Restaurant and Cantina, Bella Trattoria, and the Mission Inn Restaurant and Spanish Patio - along with the iconic Presidential Lounge that was the site of Richard Nixon's wedding in 1940.

A seasoned hospitality executive with a track record for increasing revenue while fostering teamwork and leadership development, Bertolacini brings to The Mission Inn more than 20 years of experience managing food and beverage programs at top city and resort destinations ranging from Hawaii and Phoenix to Lake Tahoe and Newport Beach. In his new role, Bertolacini will oversee all food and beverage operations at the historic 238-room Mission Inn including dining venues, room service, Kelly's Spa, and catering for weddings, banquets, and meetings and groups.

Prior to joining The Mission Inn, Bertolacini served as director of food & beverage at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles where he increased overall restaurant business by 35 percent and banquet business by 20 percent at one of the country's top 25 public golf courses. Additional food and beverage director and management roles include positions at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz., as well as Hyatt Regency hotels and resorts in Newport Beach, Calif., Bonita Springs, Fla., Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Bertolacini received a bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of New Haven in New Haven, Conn., and a Culinary Arts Degree from the Johnson & Wales University Culinary Institute in Providence, R.I.
