Delta Names Jacobson Treasurer

ATLANTA, GA, August 11, 2005. Delta Air Lines today announced that Paul A. Jacobson has been named vice president and treasurer. Jacobson returns to Delta from Mirant Corporation, where he served as assistant treasurer since March 2005. Prior to Mirant, he served for seven years in Delta's Treasury department, most recently as assistant treasurer. He replaces Todd Helvie, who has left the company.

"We are pleased to welcome Paul back to Delta," said Edward H. Bastian, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "Paul is an outstanding finance executive who earned the respect of his colleagues during his years with the company. He will be an important part of the Delta team as we continue our transformation."

Jacobson, 33, is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a bachelor's degree in aviation management from Auburn University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
