Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa Appoints Claire Hansen Manager of Bin on the Lake

Kirkland, WA - October 17, 2012 - The Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa, located on the shores of Lake Washington on Carillon Point 15 minutes east of Seattle and the only Seattle-area lakefront lodging, is excited to announce the appointment of Claire Hansen as manager of bin on the lake. In her new position, Hansen is responsible for managing the floor, handling employee relations and hiring and managing bin on the lake's wine list and inventory.

“Claire's previous experience in the restaurant industry makes her a perfect addition to our team," said John Murphy, general manager at the Woodmark. “Claire is a first level sommelier and with her extensive knowledge of wines, she will create a distinctive wine list for bin on the lake and provide our guests with expertly paired wine selections.”

Hansen has more than seventeen years of experience in the restaurant industry and most recently served as general manager of Flying Fish in Seattle. In addition, Hansen has worked in various restaurant positions in the Puget Sound area and she is a first level sommelier certification from the Master Sommelier's Guild. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Seattle Community College and her Associate of Science degree from Shoreline Community College. Hansen, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, currently resides in Seattle's Crown Hill neighborhood.
