Stephan Amesoeder Joins Andover Inn as General Manager
ANDOVER, MA - October 23, 2012 - Waterford Hotel Group has named Stephan Amesoeder as General Manager for the historic Andover Inn. The recently renovated 30-room Andover Inn is located in Andover, Massachusetts, about 25 miles north of Boston on the 500-acre campus of Phillips Academy, one of the oldest private secondary schools in the United States. The Inn is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm with offices in Waterford, CT.
Amesoeder and his family have been residents of Andover since 2005 and have been active members of the community, including Amesoeder's work as a volunteer overseer for the Andover Conservation Commission on Foster's Pond. He also has a long-standing personal connection to the Andover Inn. “My wife, Kathleen, and I were married at the Andover Inn in 1996, so the Inn has a very special place in my heart,” said Amesoeder. “It makes me proud to lead this extraordinary team of associates as we work to strengthen the Andover Inn's position as the region's premier choice for accommodations, dining, and special events,” he added.
Amesoeder joins the Andover team with nearly 25 years of hospitality management experience, and as General Manager of the Inn will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the property. Most recently, Amesoeder had served as Director of Food and Beverage for Wyndham Hotel in Andover. His previous experience also includes general manager positions at Omni Hotels in New Orleans, LA, Sonesta International, Bermuda, and Emerson Inn by the Sea in Rockport, MA.

Amesoeder holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the German School of Hotel Administration in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, as well as a Certificate from the Rooms Division Management Program at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He is a member of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and the North of Boston CVB, as well as numerous local Chambers of Commerce.
