Crestline Appoints GM for Chicago Hilton Garden Inn
FEBRUARY 27, 2007. Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of Douglas Koenig as General Manager for the 357 guestroom Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile. The hotel was recently purchased by Barcelo Crestline and is managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel is located in the heart of Chicago's Magnificent Mile, just steps to North Michigan Avenue shops and restaurants. It also offers 5,727 square feet of flexible meeting space located on the first and 12th floors with spectacular views of Chicago's skyline.
Mr. Koenig brings more than 17 years of hospitality industry management experience to his new position. He joins Crestline Hotels & Resorts from Merritt Hospitality where he was the General Manager at the Hilton Altamonte Springs, FL and prior to that he was General Manager at the Sheraton Danbury, CT. He served as General Manager with Interstate Hotels & Resorts at the Hilton Garden Inn, Alpharetta, GA, the Homewood Suites, Lake Mary, FL and the Courtyard by Marriott Durham, NC, in addition to various positions with Marriott International.
