Sheraton Chicago Celebrates 15 Years of Tremendous Success

. October 14, 2008

CHICAGO, IL, February 23, 2007. Since1992, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers has enhanced both business and leisure travel guests' Windy City experiences with stylish accommodations, diverse dining venues and plentiful, flexible meeting and event space. This year, the hotel celebrates its momentous 15th anniversary. Throughout its 15-year history, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers has undergone many enhancements, including a recent $20 million renovation. For a decade and a half, the hotel has proven its dedication to offering guests unmatched levels of service and a top-of-the-line travel experience through continually upgrading its product.

The hotel has revamped all 1,209 guestrooms and suites, as well as the hallways, lobby and fully equipped health club. It also debuted a 35,000 square-foot exhibition hall, the stylish bi-level Club Lounge and the lobby's Java Bar. Perhaps the most exciting addition was the hot new luxe lounge, Chi Bar, which arrived on the scene last January. Designed by renowned architect Jeffrey Beers, Chi Bar has quickly turned into Chicago's chic new hot spot. The Chicago Burger Company, serving up everything from traditional all-American Certified Angus beef to more diverse options such as seafood patties, was also added to the hotel's expansive roster of dining venues. These new venues join the hotel's existing restaurants, Shula's Steak House and Riverside Caf'e, which continually serve up exceptional dining experiences.

"Celebrating the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers 15th anniversary is an impressive milestone, a moment in which the entire staff is taking a great deal of pride," said Rick Ueno, general manager. "We have accomplished many goals over the past 15 years by continuing to advance within our competitive set and remain a driving force in the market. The personal service that our meeting and leisure guests receive surpasses industry standards and is a key factor behind continually raising the bar on the hospitality experience we deliver."

Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers consistently stays ahead of hospitality trends by developing innovative amenities, such as the famed BlackBerry Check-In Program. This initiative, which made headlines and was a topic of conversation on major networks such as FOX and ABC, gives guests the opportunity to reconnect with their hotel experience by turning in their portable gadgets. General Manager Rick Ueno turned in his own BlackBerry to spark this craze. From recognizing technological trends to adding hot new lounges and going above and beyond to deliver personal service, this premier Windy City property has set the bar for the past 15 years and looks forward to further enhancing the travel experience in the years to come.
