Andaz San Diego Completes First Phase of $1 Million Restyling, Unveils Reimagined RoofTop600 at Andaz

Updated interiors and expanded event space also planned for Gaslamp Quarter hotel

San Diego, CA - July 23, 2013 - Andaz San Diego today announced completion of the first phase of a $1 million restyling of the hotel's lobby and entertainment spaces. Guests of the hotel will now enjoy more shade and shelter under a new retractable roof on the hotel's rooftop, which has been renamed RoofTop600 at Andaz. The state-of-the-art covering will create an indoor-outdoor venue for the hotel's legendary rooftop events, meetings, weddings and other special events. The reimagined space also features newly installed cabana beds and plush outdoor seating.

Additional enhancements planned for the 159-room property will include new decor and furnishings in the main lobby and the Andaz Wine Bar, as well as the transformation of the existing nightclub into a private venue for meetings and special events. Andaz is considering several local designers for the final phases the restyling project which is scheduled to be completed in the coming months. Meanwhile, the adjacent Katsuya by S+ARCK restaurant recently introduced a fresh menu concept with enticing new dishes and cocktails, approachable pricing and more local flair. The interior also went through a refresh adding traditional Japanese lanterns to give the dining room a soft glow.
