Hilton Caribbean Announces New GMs in Curacao and Nassau
MARCH 2, 2007. Wibo Wilmink has been appointed general manager of Hilton Curacao. Wibo most recently served as general manager of the Hilton Colombo, a 400-room hotel in Sri Lanka. A 25-year Hilton veteran, Wibo began his career at the Hilton Schiphol Airport Amsterdam in 1981. Since then, Wibo has held several management positions at hotels in Germany and Austria, followed by general manager appointments throughout Africa and Asia.
Peter Webster, who preceded Wibo at Hilton Curacao, is now general manager at the British Colonial Hilton Nassau. A 19-year veteran of Hilton, Peter has also held management positions at The Drake hotel in Chicago and the Hilton London Heathrow Airport. He began his career at the Hilton National Hotel in Surrey, England. Peter is overseeing a major makeover at the British Colonial Hilton that will transform guestrooms, dining and entertainment. The renovations will begin in fall 2007.
