Lloyd Van Horn Named Manager of Topnotch Resort

STOWE, VT, September 15, 2006. Topnotch Resort and Spa has announced the appointment of Lloyd Van Horn as its new Resort Manager. Drawing on two decades of hospitality experience across the U.S., including the past ten years in management positions at upscale hotels and resorts, Van Horn will oversee all operations at the AAA Four Diamond, Stowe, Vermont-based resort.

Van Horn joins Topnotch after a year and a half spent as Resort Manager at Lajitas, The Ultimate Hideout, a 92-room, golf and spa retreat in the dusty wilds of West Texas. Previously he worked in a wide range of hospitality management positions including as General Manager of The Willcox in Aiken, South Carolina (2004-2005), Assistant General Manager of The Point, a Relais&Chateauxresort in Saranac Lake, New York (2003-2004), Interim General Manager and Assistant General Manager of the Grove Isle Club and Resort in Miami (2001-2002), and others. He got his start in hospitality inSeattlein 1987.

A native of San Juan Island, Van Horn, currently resides in Stowe,Vermont.
