David Weidlich Appointed Vice President of Operations, Eastern Region, by Loews Hotels & Resorts
NEW YORK, NY. October 19, 2015 - Loews Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of David Weidlich as Vice President of Operations for the portfolio's Eastern Region. A seasoned hotel operator with more than 25 years of domestic and international experience, Weidlich oversees all aspects of operations for six Loews properties including Loews Madison Hotel, Loews Annapolis Hotel, Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Loews Boston Hotel, and Loews Regency New York.
"It gives me great pleasure to welcome David to Loews, and I am certain the general managers at our eastern properties will benefit from his leadership," said John Cottrill, Executive Vice President, Operations of Loews Hotels & Resorts. "David has had enviable success at properties on both sides of the Atlantic, and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow with Loews."
Weidlich joined Loews Hotels & Resorts from Club Quarters where he served as Vice President, Global Hotel Operations and directed 17 properties in major U.S. markets and London.
Weidlich credits the foundation of his career to his 14 year tenure with Morgans Hotel Group, where he worked with notable hotelier Ian Schrager and was General Manager of properties on the east and west coasts. While with Morgans, Weidlich progressed from onsite management to Executive Vice President of Operations, overseeing the company's entire portfolio of 15 properties. Weidlich got his start with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, working in management at various addresses before joining The Plaza Hotel in New York City as Assistant Director of Rooms.
Born and raised in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, Weidlich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
