Citi Channel brings fun back into travel planning for hotel guests
Calgary, AB, Canada September 12, 2016: Citi Channel Inc., a startup company specializing in enhancing travelers' destination experience, announced the launch of its beta 'shared label' travel planner tool for hotels.
Citi Channel offers a media rich, comprehensive, global travel search platform with digital content curation. It uniquely assists travelers visiting any destination around the world plan their perfect vacation / trip; while improving brand awareness and profitability of travel service providers.
The shared label application is customized for each hotel and is easily embedded into the hotel website. With Citi Channel, hotels can offer their guests a single point of contact to search, evaluate, review, plan a list of activities & build a daily itinerary of 'things to do', 'places to see', shop and dine, within the context of where they are staying.
“People enjoy planning a vacation, with all the excitement of 'discovering' new, unique places; but trip planning has become a huge pain in the neck”, commented Jim Burney, a hospitality industry veteran and Co-Founder & CEO of Citi Channel, “While one challenge is the time spent in gathering all relevant data scattered across the net and then examining and evaluating it relative to where one plans to stay, the other part which most applications seem to ignore is that travel planning is a social activity. We've addressed both these issues very effectively.”
Additionally, Citi Channel's social media tools enable accompanying travelers to collaborate online and jointly build the activities & itinerary and share it among friends and family. Users can even do virtual “Walk-About” the hotel, restaurants and around city streets and get a better feel for the destination.
Ramesh Gokal, Director / Advisor of Citi Channel and past president of a multinational hotel brand said, “More and more travelers are turning to accommodation providers for help in planning their ultimate destination experience; which also explains the increasing popularity and growth in new models like AirBnB and others.”
According to Ramesh, the hotel model lacks the tools to provide the level of customized experience demanded by today's travelers.
“How do hotels anticipate the needs of a first time guest? And, without understanding the guests' needs how do they make recommendations? How do they keep their concierge desk fully informed of all the establishments in city, hours of operation, menus, reviews, ratings, last minute promotions and specials, plus the latest local activities and festivals happening in town? How do they keep concierges unbiased in their recommendations? These are some of the challenges Citi Channel addresses.” Burney commented.
Citi Channel offers three versions to suit the needs to different hotel segments - Basic, Standard and Premium.
For a limited time, Citi Channel is offering the customized 'shared label' Basic application free of all costs to hotels for a full year, the Standard and Premium versions are available for a four month free trial.
