Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown Appoints Mark Huntley as General Manager and Regional Vice President

WASHINGTON, DC - July 25, 2017 - Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Huntley as general manager and regional vice president. A seasoned hotelier, Huntley's regional responsibilities for overall operations, performance and strategic direction will also include that of Fairmont Austin, Fairmont Pittsburgh, Pullman Miami and Sofitel Washington, DC Lafayette Square.

Prior to his new position, Huntley was the regional vice president, Central U.S.A. & general manager for Swissotel Chicago. Previously, he was regional vice president and general manager for Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park from 2012 until 2015.

After graduating from the Catering and Hotel Management program at England's Chichester College and the Savoy Hotel management training program, Huntley began his tenure with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 1986 holding senior food and beverage positions at Fairmont New Orleans and Fairmont Dallas. He later held the positions of resident manager at The Plaza, A Trump Owned and Managed Hotel and The Peninsula New York. He then returned to Fairmont as regional vice president & general manager for The Fairmont San Francisco and regional vice president & general manager of The Savoy in London. He briefly served as executive vice president of MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas before returning to Fairmont in 2007.
