Kennebunkport Resort Collection Appoints Two New General Managers

The Kennebunkport Resort Collection, comprised of ten inns, resorts, hotels and rental homes as well as six award-winning restaurants in Kennebunkport, Maine, is pleased to announce appointments of seasoned hospitality leaders, Ophelia Muradian, Emily Nelson and John Nickulas to oversee various properties within the portfolio.

Ophelia Muradian, General Manager of Hidden Pond and The Tides Beach Club

Ophelia Muradian brings over a decade of luxury, lifestyle and boutique hospitality experience to private luxury resort, Hidden Pond, and the only waterfront hotel in Kennebunkport's Goose Rocks Beach, The Tides Beach Club. As a performance driven and passionate hotelier, Muradian has worked for various hotel brands in the Boston area.

In her role at Hidden Pond and Tides Beach Club, Muradian is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day hotel operations for the premier sister properties, including staff training and management, business operations, property developments and implementation of strategic plans and guidance to ensure the hotels achieve their financial vision, mission and long-term goals.

Most recently, Muradian served as the Director of Guest Experiences at The Newbury Boston where she oversaw the guest experience department. Prior to this, Muradian was the Director of Front Office and Operations at the Godfrey Hotel Boston where she managed day-to-day business operations, including revenue generation, financial performance, guest satisfaction and staff development for the award-winning boutique hotel. As the driving force in the development and execution of service initiatives, Godfrey Hotel Boston's TripAdvisor popularity rating increased from from 17th to 10th during Muradian's first six months of employment. Prior to her role at the Godfrey Hotel Boston, Muradian held director-level operations and guest services-focused roles with Hotel Commonwealth and InterContinental Boston.

Emily Nelson, General Manager of Cape Arundel Inn & Resort

Emily Nelson has over five years of experience working for a collection of luxury hotels and restaurants in Kennebunkport, Maine. An ambitious and result-oriented manager, Nelson brings her expertise and knowledge to the luxurious Cape Arundel Inn & Resort where she will provide operational leadership and strategic direction for the 29-room property.

Previously, Nelson was the Guest Services Supervisor for Auberge Resorts Collection's White Barn Inn & Spa in Kennebunkport, ME, where she led the guest service staff, anticipated needs of guests and ensured all requests, inquiries and feedback were met and exceeded for each occasion.

No stranger to the Kennebunkport Resort Collection, Nelson was KRC's Revenue and Reservations Manager where she managed the daily rates and inventory for nine boutique hotel properties. Prior to this, Nelson was the General Manager for The Tides Beach Club where she directed day-to-day operations and business functions for the 21-room hotel. Nelson began her KRC career as Hidden Pond's Front Desk Manager where she recruited, trained and supervised the guest services staff of 20 employees.
