Ryan Rauscher Named General Manager of The Ryder Hotel Opening in Charleston
Ryan Rauscher has been appointed to the position of general manager of The Ryder Hotel, slated to debut in the heart of Charleston's Historic District this spring. Operated by Pivot, the boutique hotel will bring a new, upscale hospitality experience to the Lowcountry with thoughtfully designed guestrooms and suites, a distinct poolside bar and dining venue, and creative guest programming.
With 20 years of hospitality experience, Rauscher will oversee the opening, daily operations, and management of the highly anticipated 91-room hotel. In his new role, he is responsible for directing management and business development initiatives for the property, introducing The Ryder as the preferred accommodation choice in Charleston.
Rauscher joins The Ryder Hotel team from Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, in Key Largo, Florida, where he served as director of rooms. Prior to this, he held numerous leadership roles across several luxury properties, including the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, and Caneel Bay, a Rosewood Resort.
"I am excited to debut The Ryder and introduce what will be Charleston's newest social hub," says Rauscher. "From design-forward accommodations to an inventive culinary program, The Ryder will truly showcase something new to this world-famous destination for visitors and locals alike. On behalf of our entire team, we look forward to welcoming guests this spring and showcasing all that the Lowcountry has to offer."
A veteran in the hospitality industry, Rauscher is a natural fit to lead impactful business results for The Ryder while connecting the hotel to the local community through partnerships and creative collaborations. With a deep understanding of hotel operations and marketing, he is well placed to oversee the hotel's 91 rooms and suites, two food and beverage outlets, guest experience program and more.
