InterContinental Hotel Cleveland Appoints Andrew N. Gajary to Hotel Manager
CLEVELAND, OH, September 19, 2005. InterContinental Hotel Cleveland announces the promotion of Andrew N. Gajary to hotel manager (Click here for photo), responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 300 room, AAA Four Diamond award-winning hotel. With more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, Gajary most recently served as manager for InterContinental's other properties on The Cleveland Clinic campus, the InterContinental Suite Hotel and The Cleveland Clinic Guesthouse.
"Throughout my career in the hospitality industry, I have developed a deep passion for my work and enjoy sharing it with my staff," said Gajary. Gajary has spent eight years with the InterContinental Hotels Group, earning several hotel awards for his work in generating income and improving profits. In addition to his time with InterContinental Hotels Cleveland, he has served as the director of sales and marketing for the Hotel InterContinental Budapest, the acting InterContinental regional director of sales and marketing for Central and Eastern Europe, and a senior sales manager for The Willard InterContinental in Washington, D.C.
Gajary also has spent 12 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, including five years as senior sales manager for the hotel's Washington, D.C., property. He began his hospitality career in 1977, serving as the night manager/auditor at a Holiday Inn in Bethesda, Maryland.
Gajary holds dual U.S. and Hungarian citizenships, is fluent in Hungarian, and well-versed in German. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in business management, he is currently pursuing his MBA.
Gajary currently resides in Mentor, Ohio, with his wife, Anna, and sons, Nicholas and Anthony.
