Harrah's Alantic City Giving Free Rooms in New Tower to New Yorkers
MAY 14, 2008. Harrah's Resort Atlantic City is giving away $1 million worth of free guest rooms beginning Thursday, May 15th, when Harrah's logo-painted representatives show their love to New Yorkers by handing out room keys for all 960 guest rooms within the property's new 44-story Waterfront Tower. All lucky consumers who receive the keys in New York City's Financial District, specifically the Canyon of Heroes area on lower Broadway near the 4/5 Wall St. subway station, between the hours of 11:00am to 2:00pm, will be invited to reserve their complimentary room for one night only - Thursday, June 5, 2008 - designated Harrah's ?'s New York Night.
The NYC campaign is the kick-off to Harrah's Resort Atlantic City's $1 million Giving Away the House room promotion in four east coast markets that will also provide 960 free Waterfront Tower rooms to residents of Philadelphia (May 20th), Washington, DC (May 22nd) and Baltimore (May 28th). Winners in all cities will stay overnight at The Waterfront Tower of Harrah's Resort Atlantic City on consecutive Thursday nights in June 2008. Total room value is $1 million.
"To us at Harrah's, there is no better way to celebrate the unveiling of the property's new Waterfront Tower than sharing the excitement with our top consumer markets," says R. Scott Barber, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. "We want to invite New Yorkers to be among the first to experience the Waterfront Tower's luxury accommodations that are reshaping the face of hospitality in Atlantic City today. This introduction will certainly form a relationship between New York consumers and the Waterfront Tower that will grow and prosper in the years to come."
The 525-foot Waterfront Tower - now the tallest structure in Atlantic City and the second tallest building in New Jersey - was unveiled in March at a ribbon-cutting ceremony with N.J. Governor Jon Corzine and Harrah's Entertainment CEO Gary Loveman. This is the final phase of a $550 million dollar revitalization for Harrah's Resort that includes The Pool (a 172,000-square-foot, 90-foot-high, dome-enclosed entertainment area with 86,000-gallon heated pool), a regional food complex, shopping emporium and new Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.
