Katie Neufeld Named GM of Minneapolis Crowne Plaza
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 26, 2008....Marcus Hotels and Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), today announced that Katie Neufeld has been named general manager of the Crowne Plaza Northstar Hotel, located in the Northstar Center in downtown Minneapolis. In her new position, Neufeld will be responsible for overseeing all guest service operations, including front desk, reservations, food and beverage, housekeeping, marketing and sales. She will also oversee a $5 million renovation project, which includes remodeling the 223 guest rooms, a new and expanded Executive Club Lounge and enhancements to the lobby areas.

Neufeld has served InterContinental Hotels Group over the past 15 years in various management positions. Most recently, she was the hotel manager for the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan in New York City, where she was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 770-room hotel. Her career at InterContinental Hotels Group also includes management positions at Crowne Plaza properties in Chicago; Atlanta; White Plains, NY, and Kingston, Jamaica. Prior to joining InterContinental Hotels Group, Neufeld worked at several Marriott Corporation hotels.
Neufeld holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis., and has participated in numerous hotel management professional development programs.
