Beachcomber in Seychelles to Undergo Renovation
JUNE 5, 2008. Beachcomber's luxury resort in the Seychelles, Sainte Anne Resort & Spa, has closed temporarily to complete extensive refurbishment work.
One of the most important changes will be the addition of 27 private pools and sun decks, which are being added to 20 of the Villas Providence and to the seven Villas Bel Air and Belle Vue.
Executive chef, S'ebastien Vincent, will oversee the creation of two new beach restaurants offering guests alfresco dinning. L'Abondance, the hotel's main restaurant, will have a complete facelift to include cool reflecting water features, and the Sans-souci Bar will be re-designed to become an elegant lounge bar where guests can relax and socialise.
A new Sports & Activities Centre is also being created. Activity areas will be dedicated to a range of fitness activities including kinesis, Power Plate and cardio fitness; other activities will include a games area for table tennis and billiards and library. The centre will also have a hammam and a Health Bar.
The current Boat House will be dedicated to diving activities and a new Boat House with a beach caf'e will be built on the South Beach will become the base for all the sailing.
The popular Sainte Anne Spa by Clarins is being re-designed and extended; six new treatment rooms, including two doubles rooms, will be available; there will be an additional area dedicated to Ayurvedic treatments; a yoga pavilion will be opening and there will be an extended relaxation area around the plunge pool.
The resort will reopen in August.
