Stacy Martin Named GM of Ellis Hotel, Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA, September 29, 2008. The Ellis Hotel on Peachtree, Atlanta's southern cosmopolitan boutique hotel proudly announces Stacy Martin as the new general manager. In this seasoned role, Martin's responsibilities range include managing the day-to day physical and financial operations of the 127-room property, implementing aggressive service training and ensuring that guests of The Ellis receive the highest standard of service.

For the past 14 years Martin served as general manager within several hotels in the Noble House Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Her most recent position was with The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Shores, providing leadership and overall strategy for repositioning the hotel after a $35 million renovation. Under her guidance, the hotel received the AAA 4-Diamond honor in both resort and restaurant within six weeks of the grand opening, and in addition, she helped generate a 27.9 percent increase in net operating income year over year.

These accomplishments led Martin to receive the most prestigious award given by Noble House, the Chairman's Club Award. Within Noble House she also led the staff of upscale boutique hotels such as La Playa Beach Resort in Naples and Edgewater in Seattle. Martin also worked with the Adolphus after spending five years in Dallas as part of the opening team for Rosewood Crescent Hotel. She began her career in the hospitality industry in Boston with Sheraton Hotels after receiving a bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration from University of New Hampshire.

Combining the urban sophistication of a contemporary boutique with the functionality of a conventional hotel, The Ellis Hotel opened last year after a $28 million restoration. The lobby greets guests with the scent of "Sea Island Cotton," while rooms feature ostrich leather headboards, LCD Televisions and refreshment centers with Red Bull and Dylan's Candies.
