Elegant Resorts Appoints New MD
JANUARY 7, 2009 - Elegant Resorts has appointed Nathan Philpot as its new managing director. Currently director at WEXAS - The Traveller's Club, Philpot will take up his new role in February.
His move completes a series of senior appointments following the acquisition of Elegant Resorts by Thomas Cook in April 2008.
He will report to Thomas Cook's managing director of scheduled business Sue Biggs, whom he previously worked for when head of marketing at Kuoni.
Biggs, former Kuoni managing director, joined the Thomas Cook group last summer.
Biggs said: "We now have a team with a wealth of experience to strengthen the Elegant Resorts brand."
Elegant Resorts is based in Chester and is part of Thomas Cook's independent division, led by chief executive of independent travel for the UK and Ireland Ian Derbyshire.
