Aston Mourns Loss of Ron Warren
FEBRUARY 19, 2009 - Aston Hotels & Resorts' employees mourn the passing of Ron Warren, CFO and executive vice president, finance. Ron was with the company for over 20 years; recruited in 1988 for his strong financial background. He oversaw all corporate and property accounting and finance functions.
"Ron's financial expertise and keen business acumen served our company incredibly well during his tenure," said Kelvin Bloom, president, Aston Hotels & Resorts. "He was a dear friend and a mentor to many. He will be sorely missed."
Prior to joining Aston Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Warren was senior vice president and CFO for American Beauty Products Company, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He began his career as a CPA with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche for ten years where he had the overall responsibility of planning, supervision and review of audits performed in a wide variety of industries.
Mr. Warren received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from Oklahoma State University. He was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and was an avid runner who competed in numerous marathons. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, and daughter, Heidi, and son, Reid.
The service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu at Ko'olau on February 21 at 10 a.m.
