The Landmark Resort, Myrtle Beach, Begins $3 million Renovation of 305 Guestrooms
MYRTLE BEACH, SC, November 7, 2005. The Landmark Resort announced today that it began a $3 million renovation project in late September 2005. During this expansive project, each of Landmark's 305 guestrooms will receive a $10,000 makeover complete with designer d'ecor and updated amenities.
In an effort to provide guests with an elevated overall experience, each room will be completely renovated with new carpeting and fresh coats of paint. Coordinating with the Resort's overall tropical theme, the guestrooms will also receive new bedding, artwork, lighting, draperies and balcony furniture. The guestrooms' baths will also be enhanced by the renovation; new bathtubs, toilets and sinks will be installed in each bathroom along with new tile, lighting fixtures and granite vanity countertops.
This recent renovation announcement comes on the heels of the completion of a $1.2 million renovation project for the Resort's lobby. Completed in 2004, the Landmark lobby now features rich d'ecor in deep shades of burgundy and khaki. Offering a West Indies feel, the lobby displays rattan furniture, palm trees and wooden ceiling fans.
"It was definitely time for a change at the Landmark. Understanding Myrtle Beach's competitive environment we felt it was only necessary to introduce a completely upgraded and enhanced experience for our valued guests while still offering the same great value they are accustomed to," said Richard L. Arsenault, general manager of the Landmark Resort. "We here at the Landmark Resort provide a unique atmosphere for our guests, allowing them to enjoy an oceanfront resort experience in the heart of all Myrtle Beach has to offer. That unique ambiance is what keeps our guests coming back year after year. By completing this renovation project we have added to that ambiance and created an overall vacationing experience that will truly be one to remember."
