The St. Regis New York Takes Top Honors
Institutional Investor Magazine's 25th Anniversary Survey of the World's Best Hotels
NEW YORK, NY, November 10, 2005. The St. Regis hotel in New York has been named the overall top-ranked hotel in Institutional Investor's 2005 survey of the world's best hotels, marking the first time that a New York hotel has claimed the honor in the survey's 25-year history.
Our voters, who last year spent an average of 62 nights in hotels, awarded the second place ranking to the Park Hyatt Paris-Vend^ome, making it Europe's highest-ranking hotel on the II survey. Asia's best, the Four Seasons Singapore, ranks No. 5 in the world.

To conduct the survey, Institutional Investor asked participating financiers to rate hotels they had visited recently on a scale of 1 to 100. The scores were averaged and ranked according to a formula that assigns greater weight to those panelists who are the most frequent travelers. Any hotel requires a significant number of votes to qualify.
Institutional Investor is requested and read by the world's corporate and financial elite. Its more than 100,000 subscribers are among the most affluent and influential decision makers in the Americas, Europe and Asia, with an average annual household income of $817,000.
