All Ten Buildings Ranging in Age from 1840 to 2001 to be Completely Renovated

TARRYTOWN, NY, February 7, 2006. The nation's first executive conference estate has embarked on the largest single restoration project in its' 166 year history. Extensive restoration nears completion at Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center with final wrap-up in March, 2006. This elegant estate overlooking the majestic Hudson River offers a blend of gracious charm and history with technical facilities and services that meet the standards of the present. All ten buildings ranging in age from 1840 to 2001 will be completely renovated.

In the Biddle Mansion, work on the lobby, the drawing room and the garden room will return the original hardwood and marble floors to their intended Georgian era elegance. In the Winter Palace, the original scope of the 1895 design will be reinstated. The King Mansion which dates to 1840 will enjoy specialized craftsmanship and attention as the antique furniture and four-poster beds are re-appointed in the Georgian era design.

In the guestroom houses, upscale bedrooms will feature new carpeting, drapes, pillow top beds, comforters and custom new furniture. The bathroom will feature a residential style 4 leg granite vanity along with marble tiling in the shower and commode. New rainfall shower heads and bowed shower rods will be installed in all rooms. Guest rooms will feature both wired and wireless HSIA.

The conference center will receive new carpeting, wrought iron work, damask wall coverings and custom granite refreshment kiosks. In addition, all meeting rooms will be re-appointed, and the business and computer labs will be re-designed. The sports center will receive a complete re-do of both levels, along with a new heating & cooling system, rubber floors in the weight room, carpeting on the upper level, and new indoor and outdoor pool furniture. An anti-slip surface will replace the poolside carpeting. Furthermore, the wellness rooms will be re-appointed and additional Spa services will be offered.
