Choice Names Greg Brown VP, Choice Privileges
SILVER SPRING, MD, November 29, 2006. Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH) today announced the hiring of Greg Brown to oversee the further growth of the company's Choice Privileges rewards program. In the newly-created position of Vice President, Choice Privileges, he will be responsible for enhancing the rewards program for its most loyal customers, continuing to roll out Choice Privileges internationally and evaluating additional reward redemption options.
"Greg Brown has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful loyalty and marketing programs in the hospitality and travel industries," said Bill Carlson, senior vice president, consumer revenue growth, Choice Hotels. Brown joins Choice from La Quinta Corporation, where he served as vice president of customer and partnership marketing and oversaw the company's frequent-stay program, Returns, and a loyalty credit card program. Prior to his tenure at La Quinta, he held a number of sales, marketing and finance positions with American Airlines. He holds a master's of business administration in finance from the University of Texas and a bachelor's degree in engineering management from Southern Methodist University.
