Benchmark Appoints Joshua Brown Director of Sales & Marketing, The Chattanoogan
HOUSTON, TX, February 8, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Joshua Brown as director of sales & marketing for The Chattanoogan, Tennessee's Urban Resort and Conference Center located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Scott Spann, general manager, made the announcement.
"This is a well deserved promotion for Josh, who has been a terrific director of sales for The Chattanoogan," stated Mr. Spann. "We look forward to his continued success in this new role as leader of the entire sales and marketing department."
Josh Brown brings nearly two decades of solid hospitality sales experience to his new role as director of sales & marketing. In his previous position of director of sales for the hotel, he was responsible for managing key national and regional accounts, in addition to overseeing the sales activities of the department
Before joining The Chattanoogan, Brown was director of resort sales at Lajitas, the Ultimate Hideout, in Lajitas, Texas, which is a Leading Hotels of the World property. Previous to this, he served as national sales manager for Omni Hotels in Texas and Southern California.
Brown has also worked with Hilton Hotels as national accounts manager for the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center and as the training manager at Hilton Direct Group National Sales. He gained valuable operational experience earlier in his career while employed by the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotels.
Josh Brown is a graduate of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston.
