Maura Peeler Awarded "Opening GM of the Year" by Marriott
OVERLAND PARK, KS, March 3, 2006. True North Hotel Group today announced that Maura Peeler, general manager of the company's SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Devens, Mass., was named "Opening General Manager of the Year" for 2005 by Marriott International, Inc., at the company's annual General Managers conference, held late February in San Diego. Marriott opened 13 SpringHill Suites hotels last year.
Ms. Peeler opened the 121-suite Devens SpringHill Suites by Marriott in April 2005, just days before opening the adjacent, 22,700 square-foot Devens Common Center. The hotel and conference center are owned and managed by True North Hotel Group and were co-developed with Robert Walker of Devens Development, L.L.C.
