The Renovation

The design for both the new guestrooms and public venues respects the building's original architecture and captures the style of Southern California, according to Eileen Slora, Executive Director of Interior Design with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. "The handsome guestrooms and suites feature upgraded finishes in a textured natural palette of rye, chocolate, gold and cayenne accented with tumbled granite, woven cane and woods." Lee & Sakahara Architects serves as Project Architect, Design Force Interior Design of Denver, Colorado and Signal Hill and R.D. Olsen Construction of Irvine have overseen the restoration project.
