Rendezvous is Rejuvenating Itself
St. Lucia's Boutique Hotel for Couples
SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 - The Barnard family, owners and operators of SunSwept Resorts, have announced the refurbishment and expansion of Rendezvous, The Boutique Hotel for Couples in St. Lucia. The hotel will reopen on October 18, 2009 having undergone a US$15 million renovation and upgrade.
"These are challenging times for the hotel industry world-wide and we are fortunate to have the resources to further improve our property prior to the upcoming winter season. We are looking forward to showing off our new spa and to exceeding the expectations of new and returning guests by offering them the highest standard of choice, luxury and comfort," said Andrew Barnard, Marketing Director of SunSwept Resorts, "We are certain that the renovations and upgrades will further enhance their vacation experience in an intimate Boutique Hotel for Couples."
Upgrades to the property include a fully redesigned Terrace Restaurant - the resort's main restaurant will boast a redone buffet area and a new beach deck for expanded water's edge dining. The Reception and Porte-Cochere areas are being remodeled to make a lasting first impression.
To complete the previously on-going room upgrades, the Oceanfront rooms will be fitted with new windows and French doors to allow a never-ending view of the seashore.
One much anticipated addition to the resort is the new full service spa which will offer a selection of treatments and therapies similar to sister property's The Oasis Spa at The Body Holiday LeSport. And a new Gym outfitted with new state-of-the art equipment and classes will keep guests fit during their vacation.
Next to The Spa, a new free-form natural pool with a sweeping river is also being added. The river will be dotted with little islands for sunbathing and wading pool enclaves, finished with smooth stones, will give couples secluded and romantic areas to lounge waterside or under a coconut tree. A new perk in this pool area will be the new water-waiter service, similar to the beach-waiter service popular with Rendezvous guests.
The new Wedding Concierge Parlour will offer bridal guests an expanded and relaxing atmosphere to finalize the plans for their already hassle-free weddings. And the new full-service Beauty Salon will prepare everyone for their big day.
For those seeking a new paperback or a place to curl up with a good book, the new Library will offer loaner and exchange books to catch up on some good beach-reading.
"The hotel staff, many of which have been with the property since its opening, are looking forward to the re-opening in mid-October," said Yhasmine Remy, the resorts' General Manager, "They're eager to welcome all of our new and returning guests, and show off our new and improved property."
