DoubleTree in Tarrytown Presents a “Killer” New Year's Eve Party
With its “Murder at the DoubleTree"
The DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown is offering a New Year's Eve party to die for with its “Murder at the DoubleTree” murder mystery event for just $299 per couple. The package includes a welcoming cocktail reception where you'll meet the murder mystery characters, food, a DJ, dancing, champagne toast at midnight, overnight accommodations and breakfast on New Year's Day.
The Murder Mystery Manhattan theater company is presenting the event. The premise is that a stranger has gathered a colorful group of people at the Doubletree Hotel to audition for the sequel to the film “Clue”. Mrs. Peacock is jealous of Miss Scarlet and will do whatever it takes to get her part. Professor Plum is found canoodling with Miss Scarlet, and Mrs. White threatens to blow their cover unless they agree to her demands. Colonel Mustard chases Yvette the Maid around the hotel, but what is she really running from? Wadsworth, the butler, tries to keep them in check until they find out they are all descendents of Ichabod Crane and there is a threat of a Headless Horseman showing up at midnight to get them!
It all begins with a welcoming cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. where you'll meet and mingle with the characters, uncover important clues and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer and soft drinks. Then at 9:30, you'll head to the Grand Ballroom for a festive party featuring a buffet dinner, dancing with DJ Chris Washington, interaction with the characters, complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks, and a cash bar for mixed cocktails. Just when the “murder” will take place is a mystery!
You'll ring in the New Year with a champagne toast at midnight, and the party continues until 1 a.m. The identity of the “murderer” will be revealed the next morning at breakfast, served from 9 to 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to those who solved the mystery!
