HSMAI will pay tribute to Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa during the 20th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on Feb. 1, 2010 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

When the economic situation started to take its toll on consumer spending and travel, marketers across the country had to focus on promotions, special offers and merchandising. “Our approach was to create attractive price points and a single message to drive bookings,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Marshall Thompson. “That strategy coupled with limited offers and phone-only bookings allowed up-sales that has preserved ADR and generated up to a 35-1 net return on campaign investment for the hotel.”
