In the early summer the hotel opened “Sasso by the Sea”, a private villa that sits steps from the water's edge, allowing hotel guests to have “beach access.” In late August, Rossellinis, Sasso's two-starred Michelin restaurant, was awarded “The Best Culinary Experience” by Virtuoso at its conference, also in Las Vegas, August 2009.
