. October 14, 2008

CANOUAN ISLAND, August 3, 2005. Raffles Resort Canouan Island has introduced a new transfer program to ensure convenience, exclusivity and style for guests visiting the resort. Guests heading to the island will now have choice between being met by a personal air taxi or Raffles private jet at Barbados.

The new Flight Concierge service will allow guests, on arrival at the Barbados airport, to be whisked straight through by airport staff to ensure their holiday starts the minute they land on Caribbean soil.

Raffles Resort Canouan Island has partnered up with the Grenadines Airways Alliance that has committed their 17-plane fleet for the new air taxi service.

There is a set rate of US$300 return for this exclusive air taxi service whether guests are travelling alone or in a group of up-to-16 people. There is no charge for children under the age of two.

In addition, those who seek luxury in their private jet, but have lent it out to a friend, may be comforted by the fact that the Raffles Jet can collect them from anywhere in the Caribbean as well as Miami. The Raffles Jet, which will be based on the island, is a seven-seat luxury Cessna Citation II.

Raffles Resort Canouan Island may be booked through Elegant Resorts Abercrombie & Kent, ITC Classics, Caribtours, Harlequin, Complete Caribbean, Carrier, Azure, Seasons in Style, and Exsus.
