April 1, 2010 - Ashford Reit, Remington Hotels and Hilton Worldwide announced the selection of First Finish, Inc., an established leader specializing in general contracting services for the hospitality industry, to complete the renovations of this 10-floor, 245,000 SF, 540 room hotel.

Renovations have begun on this project designed by Hughes Design Associates of McLean, Virginia and will be completed in the fall of this year.

The Capital Hilton Hotel hosts a variety of visitors to the nation's capital, making it imperative that the renovations be completed while the heavily trafficked hotel functions proceed seamlessly. “Having conducted turn-key general contracting services for large-scale hotel renovations for over 10 years, we're bringing our experience, expertise, and talent to the Capital Hilton Hotel to make it as successful as the previously completed work in our hotel portfolio,” said David Burman, president of First Finish.

The guestrooms, suites, and bathrooms will undergo a complete remodel. Some features of the renovation include new lighting elements, a full FF&E package, custom granite countertops and an extensive millwork package. The hotel corridors and common areas will be renovated consistent with the design intent.

First Finish is the recent recipient of the McGraw-Hill Construction Best of the Best 2009 award for their renovations of another Washington D.C. hotel, the Hyatt on Capital Hill.

Based in Columbia, MD, First Finish provides premiere construction services for a full range of market segments including: commercial, government and those specific to the hotel & lodging industry. First Finish manages every aspect of a project from planning, construction, finishing, to installing FF&E. First Finish is a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council. www.firstfinish.net
