Kerzner Renovating One&Only Ocean Club's Cresent Wing
PARADISE ISLAND, The Bahamas - August 12, 2010 - One&Only Ocean Club, The Bahamas's most luxurious resort destination, known for its timeless elegance, absolute privacy and exceptional service has announced it will once again raise the standard of luxury with the renovation of the resort's Crescent Wing. Drawing inspiration from British colonial style and native Bahamian elements, famed interior designer Adam D. Tihany began the complete interior renovation of the Crescent Wing's 40 Beachfront Rooms and 10 Beachfront Suites in June 2010 by offering a uniquely fresh and colorful interpretation of Bahamian lifestyle.
As part of the renovation, the Crescent Wing's elegantly appointed Beachfront Rooms and Suites will be infused with a vibrant color palette including corals, cerulean blue and sunny yellow, calmingly inviting guests to unwind and indulge in the resort's tranquility. Brazilian cherry wood floors ground the rooms, both literally and figuratively, while soft white painted walls draw in the sunlight, with frame detailing adding depth to the space. Soft and breezy textiles, ideal for beachside living, adorn furnishings throughout. Colors of upholstery and area rugs were carefully selected to reflect the tropical lushness of the Bahamas. Custom-made furniture made of ebonized mahogany wood with woven cane accents and campaign-style desks are a blend of classic colonial influences and contemporary design. Walls are accented with images of swimmers in stunning colorations by French artist, Camille Perrottet, a series which pays homage to the fragility of water as a natural resource. Hardwood louvered doors open to a private patio or balcony, offering endless views of a pristine blue ocean. Outdoor furniture incorporates upholstered fret back chairs to further invoke the island flavor.

Crescent Wing accommodations feature a steam shower, Jacuzzi bathtub with TV, and a Bose entertainment system. Twenty-four-hour room service is provided by celebrity Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Dune restaurant.
