CHARLOTTE, NC - December 13, 2010 - Charlotte natives and visitors looking for a new place to dine should head over to the newly-renovated Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark Hotel where the Flagstones Restaurant is now open for business.

As the final piece of the hotel's multi-million dollar renovation, Flagstones Restaurant and The Bar at Flagstones are now welcoming diners with "Southern Bistro" style cuisine and signature drinks including Sweetinis, Honeysuckle Martinis, and Royaltinis.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Scott Spaulding , Flagstones Restaurant focuses on providing diners with a true Southern-style cuisine that features indigenous ingredients and local products such as Cloister Farm Honey and Goat Cheese from Rutherford County, North Carolina Mountain-grown trout, North Carolina shrimp, and Bost Grist Mill grits.

Flagstones Restaurant has been open for just a short time, and yet the chef has already noted some popular signature dishes including the Cedar Plank Grilled Carolina Trout, Southern Style Fried Chicken with Corn Bread Waffles, and Goat Cheese Custard with Raspberry and Honey. A wine list with domestic as well as international varietals from Europe, South America and Africa is also available.

The Bar at Flagstones also serves up tasty "bar eats" including Cloister Farms Honey Glazed Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork Sliders With Pickle and Mustard Barbecue; and Crab Cakes With a Carolina Blonde Remoulade sauce.
