L'Epicureo Named In Top Ten City Restaurants by RI Monthly Magazine

Hotel Providence becomes the only four-diamond hotel in RIwith one of the city's Top 10 Restaurants

PROVIDENCE, RI, February 15, 2007. The Four Diamond L'Epicureo Ristorante, located inside the award winning luxury Hotel Providence has been recognized as on of top ten best restaurants in the city of Providence by Rhode Island Monthly magazine.

Karen Deutsch reviewed ten special occasion restaurants for the magazine and L'Epicureo received second from the highest rating. The fine Italian restaurant, which moved into the Hotel Providence in early 2005 has been in business since 1933. Deutsch tasted some of Chef Richard Allaire's specialties and recommended the warm appetizers on the menu, the osso bucco and the desserts.

Hotel Providence and L'Epicureo: A Winning Combination

With L'Epicureo in the Top Ten City Restaurants, this is one of several recognitions the Four Diamond 80-room Hotel Providence has received since its opening two years ago in early 2005. Other acknowledgements include several historic preservation awards, Best Hotel in a city other than Boston by New England Travel and Life, Best of the East by Meetings East Magazine, and Best of New England by Yankee Magazine.

Most recently, the SLH member hotel was the highest rated hotel in Rhode Island in Zagat's 2007 Guide for U.S. Hotels, Resorts and Spas.
