Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa Unveils First Phase Renovation
July 6, 2012 - The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa recently unveiled and celebrated the grand opening of its main resort pool and new deck, which completes the first phase of its $30 million renovation.
The main resort pool was entirely resurfaced with Satin Matrix® premium pebble finish, new coping and tile. Over 45,000 square feet of EverNew ®, CertainTeed decking was laid, which is a superior, ultra-low maintenance PVC product with a fade resistance surface that maintains a cooler surface under foot. According to General Manager, Andrew Czarnecki, "We are proud to unveil our renewed resort main pool and decking which is part of the initial phase of redevelopment by Southwest Value Partners. The restoration of the pool and deck was completed within four months of purchase by our new owners and shows their commitment to ensuring that the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa continues its prominence as one of the southeast's premier oceanfront resorts. The $30 million redesign of the resort will continue throughout 2012/2013, off-season with guestrooms, lobby, restaurants and meeting space."
