October 11, 2012 - W San Diego, known as San Diego's original design-led lifestyle hotel, unveiled stylish upgrades to its various public spaces as envisioned by Oakland-based interior designer, Mr. Important Design. The $5 million renovation includes a newly imagined Living Room, signature restaurant, a re-energized rooftop bar, a new collection of spacious indoor and outdoor meeting facilities, and dynamic event spaces.

Inspiration ignites in the newly imagined Living Room where vibrant colors collide and heat up the lounge-like atmosphere. Designed to showcase the pulse of the hotel upon arrival, the space immediately transports guests from the everyday to the extraordinary and unexpected.

Redefining Flavors in KELVIN
The very definition of temperature, KELVIN— W San Diego's new restaurant— is serving up fresh, locally sourced ingredients created by Executive Chef, Kevin Harry. With over 23 years of culinary experience, including W New York and Westin Times Square, Chef Kevin rejoins the Starwood team bringing his signature style to the KELVIN menu. The Latin-influenced menu features small plates to share and savor while enjoying creativity and temperature range.

Ritual at Rooftop at W San Diego
Celebrate every night at the re-energized Rooftop at W San Diego - a visionary fusion of extraordinary cocktails and glittering views. Bringing the bright, bold bonfire theme to life, the space features a playful sculpture of stacked beach chairs, designed by Mr. Important Design.
