Raffles Properties Names in World's Best Hotels List by Travel + Leisure
Raffles Resort Canouan Island also voted in '15 to Watch' List
NEW YORK, August 15, 2005. The results are in: The August 2005 issue of Travel + Leisure features the magazine's highly regarded "World's Best List," an authoritative compilation of the world's best hotels and resorts, as judged by its well-travelled readership.
Four Raffles International Limited properties in the United States, Europe and Asia take high honours in the survey, all ranking among the top 25 in their respective geographic regions. They are: Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, Raffles Le Montreux Place, Switzerland, Raffles Hotel, Singapore and Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, Cambodia.
These fine hotels also have pride of place in Travel + Leisure's Top 100 Hotels Overall list. These accolades acknowledge and reaffirm the impeccable quality and inimitable service that Raffles Hotels worldwide are renowned for.
Making its debut in the Travel + Leisure list is Raffles Resort Canouan Island in The Grenadines. Opened only in November 2004, the resort continues to trail blaze by being voted one of '15 To Watch', a list of new and noteworthy properties by Travel + Leisure. The magazine proclaimed, "its two beaches, a Jim Fazio-designed golf course and gorgeous spa makes this the grandest new resort in the region." Recently, Raffles Resort Canouan Island was prominently recognized in Cond'e Nast Traveler's (US Edition) and Cond'e Nast Traveller's (UK edition) 'Hot List' "for being one of the four hottest hotels in the Caribbean."
